This is a John Lennon (1940-1980) limited edition lithograph titled “Baby Grand” after the original 1970 ink self-portrait.
This drawing shows John Lennon and Yoko Ono as ONE, and said to depict them as ONE figure no beginning and no end.
This joyful work of art features a chop mark stamp in red and reads, in Japanese, “Like a Cloud, Beautiful Sound.
Published in 1988 on #90 Fieldstone Navajo Paper. Image measures 15.25″ x 19.5″ Paper with border measures 36″ x 24. In excellent condition.
This fine art subject is numbered from an edition of 5000 in pencil in the lower left. This bears an embossed blind stamp seal consisting of his name with a reproduction of John Lennon’s signature on transparent green foil ink, which is centered under the image on the sheet.
This lithograph was authorized by Yoko Ono (Marigold Enterprises) on behalf of Lennon’s estate, and it was printed and published by Bruce McGaw Graphics in 1988. Comes with a gallery COA.
Beatles musician John Lennon was both a rock ‘n’ roll musician/songwriter as well as an artist. He sketched from a very early age and continually drew certain moments from his life. Yoko Ono has carried on by sharing Lennon’s cache of drawings that were created during 1960’s and ‘70’s.
