Mixed Media on 100% neutral Ph rag with embossed silk texture, gold leaf and with a Mother of Pearl coating.
The detail is impeccable, and the paper surface has a silken luster which gives the print a life-like quality.
Printing was done by Black Box Collotype. Signed in the plate in Japanese. Year published: 1996

Hisashi Otsuka left his Japanese homeland for Hawaii, seeking the artistic freedom he couldn’t find in Japan. Western culture appealed very much to him, and he wanted to combine this with traditional Japanese culture in visual expressions that would enhance these two distinct points of view.
