Robert Vernet-BONFORT is a painter and lithographer French artist, born in Marseille in 1934, and he attended art classes at Fine Arts. He came to the drawing by idleness, following an infantile illness. Reached in everyday life by a profound deafness, he took refuge in painting which allowed him to express himself in colored and expressive language. He began by studying the great masters ancient and contemporary, then chose his own style, preferring to remain faithful to the figurative. Finding himself at ease in this visual work, he overshadowed the need to hear. This abstraction of the external world naturally concentrated on this art, and pushed him to make a career of it. But that did not happen in one day. Over the years, by an incessant work of eight to ten hours a day, he sought perfectionism, both in the search for composition and in the use of tones. Painting is his universe and everything works around.
