Lindsay Dawson, a Palo Alto native, studied painting at Oregon State University before refining his craft at Pasadena’s prestigious Art Center, where he learned under John Asaro and Dan McCaw. After launching his career painting for major California film studios, he grew disillusioned with commercial art and sought more meaningful expression. His breakthrough came when he won first prize at the California Arts League annual show. Since then, Lindsay has exhibited his work in galleries nationwide, with collectors from Japan to France. He now resides in Sherman Oaks, California, where he continues to paint alongside his wife, Cathy.
